East Brunswick Community Housing Corporation
Eligibility Income Limits
EBCHC works as a partner with East Brunswick Township in maintaining the necessary level of affordable housing as required by The N.J. Council on Affordable Housing.
EBCHC owns and manages 59 rental units throughout East Brunswick. They are part of condominium developments and are an assortment of one, two and three bedroom apartments. These include 12 Section 8 priority properties and 45 income restricted properties. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. All properties are affirmatively marketed and available to all eligible applicants equally through a lottery system.
In order to be eligible for affordable rental housing, applicant families must meet certain income limits. Income limits are derived from the 2012 median income for Middlesex County for each household size. Once approved, the household must stay within the current limits to continue the reduced rent. Income is evaluated annually for all tenants. No pets are allowed.
